    Somehow…selling boxes of chocolate bars doesn’t seem as bad.

    The clods at school expect those kids to sell six fifteen pond deli loafs of cheese in a week?

    Then the guilt trip begins on the parents to buy what their kids can’t sell?

    Uh oh, Trout is going to cut the cheese.

    Yesterday rshive commented about selling Christmas Wrapping paper, In the late 40s I had to sell rosaries and religious medals! Of course people would tell me they weren’t Catholic and I would tell them it was ok for them to own the stuff anyway. Amazing just how many people bought things from another religion. Maybe I was just cute……nah
    What I don’t like is the little Girl Scouts waylaying me coming out of the grocery. You can’t ignore them, and when I tell them I can’t eat wheat I get glares from the moms. I like kids, I have 7 grandchildren, but really?

    Maybe they can sell them as spare tires. can’t be much worse than the faux spares that are on many cars now.

    @2old, but not really!

    I’m sure it was because you were cute!
    I want kids to tell me why they are trying to sell me whatever. If they come up to me and say "want to buy whatever’ – I just say ‘no’.

    @DavidHuieGreen What could go wrong? No.no. With Agnes and Trout there is no need to invite Murphy’s Law.

    Yep, I have to say no, too. I just retired from working at an elementary school, where I learned to say no,also.
