    Our neighborhood July 4th gathering always has copious amounts of potato salad. I tend to bring “Asian” slaw, and of course there’s sweet tea and banana pudding. Sadly, there are always those who bring nothing and eat the most.

    My July 1st was celebrated with ice cream. Fresh hot (real) maple syrup poured over a bed of ice chips. Poutine and sockeye salmon burger on fresh bannock. Brewed black iced tea (no sugar)
    .
    save the oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies for much, much later.
