Tony Cochran’s Agnes is a whimsical look at childhood through the eyes of the title character and her best friend, Trout. What sets this strip apart is the focus on that limbo just before little girls discover boys and appropriate social skills.

Nazz….
You can’t be “too late” if you’re the first one here!
I answered you at length about posting avatars on yesterday’s forum.’
In case by any chance you don’t know…. you just use the little red ◄ above to go back there and read it.
I’m a west coast night owl (not completely by choice) …. I keep odd hours.

I also answered you late on a couple of other comics.

Susan, I was going to respond to your first post yesterday, something like: I think I have one of those, too, but my screen’s always yellow. – But I was too insecure about whether I had understood you correctly. There is so much I don’t know about computers. Of course, you meant what I thought you had.
People like you and X Tech have helped us beginners so much, I just wanted to take this opportunity to say a big THANKS!

Arianne… wow…. you’re quite welcome, if I did anything…
Here I’d always thought you were a whiz kid.
Never occurred to me you were also reading the computer stuff.
I always worry that I’m boring people with that stuff…

Bruno…. are you that young???

Susan – Ha! Nooo. (That’s funny :) I’m about as far from a computer whiz as they come.
You probably wouldn’t remember (♪ I probably couldn’t forget… sorry, couldn’t resist) but it was you and CoBass who volunteered to help me learn how to post music notes. That started my ongoing learning process. I’ll always be grateful.
You are a great teacher. Never worry about boring people. Those who already know can just skip past. But those who are eager to learn can’t get enough. It’s like (sappy alert!) throwing a pebble into the river of knowledge… you never know how far the ripples will spread. (OK, really sorry about that.)

As long as she doesn’t repetitiously write: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy..

A message to “Cathy” fans:
Check out Trout’s eye-roll in panel 2.
Magnificent!

Aw, Arianne…. you’re making me blush.
Actually, now that you mention it…
I DO remember CoBass and I teaching you (and some other people) about alt codes …
Gosh…. wasn’t that all the way back on the old comics site?
I never thought anyone would remember.
Actually I think CoBass was using char map and I used a list, or my memory….
I do have a list, compiled from various places, and saved in a Word document,
to paste from if I really just have to have something fancy like ♕ or ☮, for which codes can’t be found, or just won’t work here.
LOL

I wish! Thanks for the info on avatars(even if I wasn’t the one asking.) Like it?

I love this strip, but once in a while it is just heart-breakingly poignant.

Hissssssss…ing is ok. biting is not. At least the worst Agnes can get from her ‘screen’ is a paper cut.

oh… darn…. paper cuts are the same as bites. …. darn.
