Tony Cochran’s Agnes is a whimsical look at childhood through the eyes of the title character and her best friend, Trout. What sets this strip apart is the focus on that limbo just before little girls discover boys and appropriate social skills.

I put my Oscar and Nobel Prize in the front hallway so visitors see them when they come in.

And Susan Newman wins the trophy for predicting Agnes would show her trophy … and wind up in the principal’s office.
It’s the principal of the thing!

The teacher is just jealous that she doesn’t have one. Go Agnes!
DavidHuieGreen said, 3 months ago
The teachet has one now, even if Agnes IS on to her.
Now, Susan, is the principal going to muscle in?

I don’t think the teacher hopes to change Agnes at this point. She just wants Agnes out of her hair for a while.

Maybe Agnes should just take some sort of class in the principals office as her attendance there appears to be daily.

It is sad that the teacher handles this by foisting Agnes off to the Principle’s office every time.

I don’t think so.
After all the time he had to spend with Agnes on that teacher’s lame complaints, I believe that the principal is aware that she (the teacher) has no scruples.

My dearest Susan,
-
I sometimes get the faint impression you don’t have the appreciation of those around Agnes that I do.
-
The fact that she’s still alive shows tremendous restraint on the part of every person who interacts with her.
The fact that the teacher and principal haven’t opted out of the educational system causes us to wonder at their sanity but should also make us appreciate their dedication.
-
I love her but from a relatively safe distance on the other side of the monitor’s screen.
