Tony Cochran’s Agnes is a whimsical look at childhood through the eyes of the title character and her best friend, Trout. What sets this strip apart is the focus on that limbo just before little girls discover boys and appropriate social skills.

Reminds me of Bart Simpson’s report on Treasure Island. ’It’s about… pirate .. .with .. birds on their shoulders …’

Another super procrastinator. See Holly in another strip begging from her teacher for an extension.

Well, it looks like another trip to the principal’s office is in store for our Agnes.

Well Agnes— Your teacher may not have seen everything. But she’s certainly seen that kind of thing before. The un-report.

Shouldn’t it be “I” for ingenuity? Never could quite understand that usage.

Not the Principle’s office, just an “F” or a “-D” instead.

This is the most reportly book report I have been privileged to read. Thank you Agnes.

@Night-Gaunt49
Many, many years ago (in the 50s) the grading system was not A, B, C, D, F.
They used:
E..Excellent
S..Satisfactory
N..Needs Improvement
U..Unacceptable
This is when the saying “E for Effort” started.
Now they say “A for Effort”.
Silly.
