    OMG….

    Agnes is totally channeling a guy I knew in the early 90’s….


    A retired cop I hired to do some handyman work for me,
    and then he asked me out to dinner….
    Turned out to be completely self-absorbed, and told me he was actually born to be a stand-up comic….

    He’d say something lame and then tell me more than once just how funny it was….
    “Oh wow, just listen to me…. hahaha”
    followed by
    “Didja see what I did there?”


    Didn’t get jokes at all…
    sarcasm and facetiousness went right over his head.


    I only wish there’d been snow.

    Drugging his coffee might have helped. Or drinking a lot of alcohol might have made him actually seem funny.

    On the last panel, that sounds about right — the snow will DO the muffling at that point (though this may not be Trout’s idea).
