Tony Cochran’s Agnes is a whimsical look at childhood through the eyes of the title character and her best friend, Trout. What sets this strip apart is the focus on that limbo just before little girls discover boys and appropriate social skills.

Agnes and Calvin would probably get along great… or be mortal enemies because they think so much alike.

A Cyclops snowman.
I wonder if Agnes read “The Odyssey”.

I’m guessing that Agnes has a picture of the pre-sanitized Frosty somewhere.

I happen to have a book of the original translations of Grimm’s fairy tales. Generally gory, to say the least. Not to mention the crows pecking out the wicked stepsisters’ eyes at the end.

I’m fascinated by the head. The ears are perfect. He has hair. And that mouth? Definitely more friendly than Dr Who’s snowmen.
