So are Spain and plain. But II can’t fit Ohio into the formula. I’m with Trout.

Don’t think that “lout” qualifies—two letters different. This is an interesting parlor game, best played when one is sober.

Angelica Pickles said, “Put your monkey where your mouth is.” She might also say, “Time is monkey,” “The love of monkey is the root of all evil,” and “Monkey makes the world go round.”

Don’t let her know the relationship between the words monkey and donkey or though as related to through and thought.
    She’d probably be beside herself.

“Monkey makes the world go round.”

    I’m reminded of the saying:
Love makes the world go round
    but money greases the wheels.
    -
(but I always suspected it was said by one in love with money, whereas I’m just very fond of it)

A one letter difference isn’t important unless it happens in something important.

I was going to get my trousers hemmed but when I saw the sign saying “ALTERCATIONS HERE” I chickened out. My cuffs are still dragging!

a bare bear are the same letters. So a Bare Bear isn’t bare if he is lettered. or a bare bear ate an ear of corn, thank goodness that wasn’t __-orn.
