Tony Cochran’s Agnes is a whimsical look at childhood through the eyes of the title character and her best friend, Trout. What sets this strip apart is the focus on that limbo just before little girls discover boys and appropriate social skills.

Some should not raise their hemlines. Others should raise them way more than a quarter of an inch.

GoComics used to run longer issues of this strip on Sundays.
What happened—did they run out?
Or maybe Tony has decided to quit Sunday strips.
Tony Cochran said, 6 months ago
With the limited space provided in the newspaper, this IS a Sunday strip. Sorry.

Ohhhh, ….. what with Sharpie offering more colours, this could prove interesting.

@ Tony Cochran – I remember the Sunday comics being four full size pages, printed on both sides. These days, lucky if we get two pages on both sides. … sigh.

Be careful with that dress Agnes or you might have a wardrobe malfunction.

The Houston Chronicle at least gives us 5 full pages though the last page is a full page ad. Still better than in some papers I’ve seen.

There’s 24 features crammed onto 4 pages in the Sunday Sun (Toronto.) The section has 2 pages of puzzles and 2 pages of ads as well – a nice balance. But man, are some of those panels small!

Wouldn’t it be a hoot if Agnes grew up to be a looker?
