Tony Cochran’s Agnes is a whimsical look at childhood through the eyes of the title character and her best friend, Trout. What sets this strip apart is the focus on that limbo just before little girls discover boys and appropriate social skills.

Much as I love Agnes,
and her genius-level creativity….
I…uh….
…I think I’ve changed my mind….
…. I don’t think I want her cookbook for Christmas this year after all.

The mayo part lost me. And Trout’s pepper jack really lost me. Still, it IS creative.

It’s not truly a meal until you dip it in batter and deep fry it. THEN you melt the pepper jack on top and slather on the mayo.

Yay for Agnes having the metabolism to rise above the childhood obesity rap.

And there are people who would agree – deep fry that sandwich! But I save my deep fryer for the home made doughnuts.

Let`s see – cherry is a fruit. so are blueberries. the studel pastry is made from a grain – flour. Whatever holds the poptarts together is excellent roughage. Could I assume the frosting is a dairy product? nah. frosting is the sugar. The slice of pepper jack is the dairy product (and protein)
.
fruit, starch, dairy/protein – well rounded meal.
