Tony Cochran’s Agnes is a whimsical look at childhood through the eyes of the title character and her best friend, Trout. What sets this strip apart is the focus on that limbo just before little girls discover boys and appropriate social skills.

What is that crteepy looking bird on the dresser????

Seems every time Tony draws that dresser there’s a different strange something. Sometimes it’s the base of a lamp, sometimes just a stuffed something. I think Granny got them all at a garage sale.

Amazing what you can find at garage sales and the thrift store. Maybe Aladdin’s Lamp?

When I got my 1st apartment at the age of 17, most of my items came from garage sales.

my first apartment was bricks, planks, and whatever I could scrounge from my parents’ attic.
