Tony Cochran’s Agnes is a whimsical look at childhood through the eyes of the title character and her best friend, Trout. What sets this strip apart is the focus on that limbo just before little girls discover boys and appropriate social skills.

And thus, our little entrepreneurs learn the dangers of capitalism. Free people making their own decisions might not buy your product.
-
What to do? Hmmmmm
-
Perhaps we could lobby Congress and convince them to provide price supports since nobody in his right mind is going to buy something to drink which looks like sewage.
-
Perhaps we could have the food pyramid or plate or whatever they use nowadays, include a certain portion of Dateade.
-
Maybe celebrity endorsements? (Why do I find myself wanting a bowl of Wheaties right now?)
-
Maybe a good slogan: Do the Dateade
-
Shut down production and lay off all workers because this ship ain’t gonna sail?

Decisions, decisions

Wonder about the location. I haven’t seen anyone go by who Marketing can practice its wiles on.
Perhaps something is working in the background. The FDA (Federal Date Agency) may have warned people against drinkinkiing date juice made from dated dates or those found in the back of cupboards.

The LAST one is the LAST option. But keep your options open. Go with the program clear to the hilt, all the way, but …
know how and when to pull out, too. Go, America’s kids!

Call it ORGANIC. Those that don’t ask and don’t know will buy, buy, buy.

@simpsonfan2
The colorist appears to have used a color halfway between Raw Umber and Burnt Umber (RGB 134, 73, 52)

They woulda made a fortune if instead they had made shakes out of them. We were traveling near Palm Springs a while back and one of the date farms had a little diner/gift shop next to it. Their signature item was date shakes, and it was one of the best things we’ve ever tasted!
