No way is that guy part of the Me Generation. He’s old.

The Me Generation is not old. They’re older. That’s an important distinction.

Yea…..probably born in the Baby Boom…..man that is really old….wait I was born in 52……oh yeah…….I remember doing it now!!!!
Now I like to buy the world a Coke and sing and dance about.
We invented the pill which freed up sex so that’s what it was all about.
Calculators were slide rules…..phones had a dial and a bell….the CIA kept us safe……and we all learned to love the bomb.

Baby Boomers were and are not the ME generation. That distinction belongs to our children. We idiots raised them to think more of themselves than anyone else and now they are passing it on to further generations. We boomers have no one to blame but ourselves.

We boomers were the Me generation. We started the show by becoming more centralized in ourselves than being part of the Great Society. We raised our children with that ideal then BOOOMMMM.
We grew up facing our own creations who were more ME than WE.
We back then thought communes were good. Now we call the cults.
We fought like mad to get the drinking age to 18. (We were sent to fight in Nam and could not buy a beer at the bar).
Now we raised it back to 21 as we suddenly went “Man that was a bad idea.”
    We thought Pot was cool.
Then we criminalized it and super sized it.
Now its been de-criminalized in some places.
Now places like Colorado are no longer known for the pristine beauty of the land but the fact you can smoke pot all day.
I am proud to be of that generation…..we did break the mold……we grew and flew….crashed and burned….but all in all…..most of us are still here and some of us still remember those days.

1957, Sputnik was sent up, then the dog that year.
We had 48 states. Eisenhower was president, Nixon was VP. A very different world then. That was my BD year. My mom was 17.
