I think February is the longest month. Though only twenty-eight days long, it just drags on and on forever.

I was watching an episode of Brain Games on National Geographic, they said cold tends to speed up time, heat makes time seem to go slower. I thought, If that’s the case, why does Winter seem so long, and Summer just zips by. Being in the Midwest, currently 5 o below 0, I guess I am out having fun in the Summer and cooped up in the Winter.

Around here, we get snow, then it melts, freezes and turns to ice. Then it melts, now it freezes again.
I’m tempted to yell at the heavens, ‘Make up your mind!’
My luck, it’ll make up its mind to be cold and snowy.

Today the high was 25, with frozen fog. The day before it was sunny and 58. Day before that it was frozen fog.
It’s actually normal for the east side of the Cascades to do that, but I’d hate to be a plant living around here.

Don’t believe everything you see on TV. Get your information from the internet, it’s ALWAYS correct. :-)>

-12 right now. When I was a kid I loved winter, it was my parents that wanted it to be over. I still like winter, but -12 is just stupid.

What I’ve never understood is folks who claim “It’s too cold to snow”.

I’m having a meltdown too, my bday was yesterday and the last few years have either been lots of snow or freezing temps or both.

Not sure if you all are talking in F or *C, but right now, where I live (an hour north of Toronto, Ontario), it’s -15C and the wind chill is -24*C. I like winter when it stays around the -10 to -15 temps, but when it gets this cold, it’s hard to bear. We also have about 3 feet of snow on the ground. January, this year, is taking forever to go by! Gaaahhh!

My feelings exactly. There are times when I wish Gore was not a completely irrational lunatic pushing panic-mongering pseudoscience.

49 now, getting into the 70’s. However, we are in a severe drought situation in New Mexico.
