Isn’t Jack Skellington the Pumpkin King? From that weird Tim Burton movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas. I know, I know, all his movies are weird.

It’s “National Cheeseburger Day” today, and “National Play Dough Day” as well.

Since Adam is written as a kid at heart, here is a homemade playdough recipe.

    From:
    “Cooking The Preschool Way”
dedicated to the Past, Present, and Future Parents and Children of Upper Lonsdale Parent Participation Preschool
    Published in: November 1978

(this is one of my late mother’s charity purchases I imagine.)

EVERYDAY PLAYDOUGH—NOT COOKED (credited to: Judi Langley)

    2 cups flour
    1 cup salt
    1 cup warm water
    2 Tbsp. oil
    food colouring

    Mix dry ingredients together.
Mix oil, water and food colouring together and add slowly to dry ingredients.
Mix well and work with hands until smooth.
    Store in an airtight container.

Again, this is to get away from all things pumpkin.

By the time Adam’s fininshed talking about it, pumpkin season will be long over.

Yes, in some areas of the country. Not so much in Montana; we have Albertson’s and Walmart both of which carry pumpkin as a seasonal item. Grrr!

There’s always Amazon. You may pay more, but you can get it.

He needs a Little read on the Mother Earth News website, will start digging a cellar to store his pumpkings, making pumpkin preserves and home caniing them, and learning new récipes. And will prepare to plant his own heirloom varieties in his backyard.

He already looks like a pumpkin.
About as smart as a pumpkin.
His wife is actually on a dating website looking for her next lover.
I can’t imagine her letting that short, dumpy bald loser touch her.
