‘Or when I go on about Kate Beckinsade?’
    “Say what?’
    ‘Uh … never mind…’

I do understand where Adam is coming from

Until not that many years ago my ego told me that a young woman being friendly could mean she was interested

These days I’m more likely to think I remind her of her Dad, an Uncle, or even Grandpa

Still there are times, one young lady at work in particular has a way of smiling at me that I just can’t read

Like Adam, I’m a happily married man with a great wife and the thought of a pretty young thing interested in me is not something I would want to have to deal with

Wilford wouldn’t be interested in her. He would just be sitting around eating oatmeal.

Or checking his blood sugar since he has diabetes. Speaking of which, I haven’t seen those commercials in a while. Hope he’s doing ok.

Hey that’s a thought, Mad Cow. If they ever make an animated series based on the comic strip Pickles, he could the voice of Earl.

“Pretty Young Thing” – you said it, you’re still looking, and most women don’t mind you “Window Shopping”, as long as you don’t make a purchase. I know many women who “window shop” for men! L

    1. Has Adam perchance watched the new barista talking to other customers? That may be just her natural way of talking to every customer, male and female.

    2. Adam and Laura aren’t that old themselves, and – takiing into account the cartoonost’s style – I’d say Laura still counts as a pretty young thing.

    3. Adam’s lucky to have a wife who is so understanding. Mind you, she may also be slightly amused by his fear of barista-girl, but I’m sure she’s sensible enough not to tease him about it.

Just remember that she is married to her director. And she has big hands to use those big guns in the movies she is in.
