You beat me. I was going to remark just how much he looked like a fine Southern Gentleman.

I didn’t think it’d be that easy to scare Adam away from a cup of coffee

You mean “Colonel Cinders”!

Adam shouldn’t have to go without coffee for long, there’s probably a Starbucks within a block from there in any direction

The strips with this guy don’t look new to me. I think these have been issued before. And if you look very carefully, the dates for a comic strip are usually part of the strip and this one looks like it was copyrighted in 2010! What gives??

@JohnDKruse
I brought that to the posters’ attention this past Monday.

It’s been documented like ten times that this is a repeat week. Do read Get Fizzy or Doonesbury? They repeat all the time.

I was getting dejavu too until I noticed the 2010 dates. Maybe the artist is on vacation or something.

The first and ONLY time I was in that establishment I sent the chicken back asking them to cook it.

Adrian looks like Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday in Tombstone.

He’s just “Captain” Sanders at this point…
.
Speaking of Kentucky “colonels”, if you look at a list of who has been bestowed that title, it looks very much like British knighthood, where entertainers and other leeches on society are given knighthoods. Sir Party Animal… Cheapens the idea of honoring somebody for their service to God and country just a bit.
.
Isaiah 5:22 comes to mind: “Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine and champions at mixing drinks,”
.
How about the “Order of Eno Camino” for non-military knighthoods? “Awarded for conspicuous beer-swilling in the midst of public view.”
.
For Kentucky and other states with such honorifics gone wrong, have a “Hero of the Wine Cup” and a “Champion of Mixologic Stupor”.
.
California could have the “Order of Toyon Fools” for those who professionally make idiots of themselves in public. Open to Actors/Actresses, Comedians, Assembly Members and other Entertainers. (Toyon or California Holly was common in the subdivision named “Hollywood”, thus the name.)
