Barely a day goes by that I don’t have a reason to realize what a lucky man I am
Big part of what makes me so lucky is knowing my wife feels the same way
TV (especially Reality TV) doesn’t give an accurate view of how people really live, but it’s probably close enough in some cases
Proof enough that I’m not only lucky to have the life I do, but lucky not to have the life I don’t

I totally agree. I always say my life certainly does not have enough drama for those reality tv shows but I love my little boring life. We’ve been married 46 happy years with a great family. I don’t need drama we just have fun.

Really disgusting what garbage they put on tv, like The Learning Channel which has nothing worth learning on it like the two Honey Boo Boo’s, Sarah Palin the original Honey Boo Boo and the little hill billy witch herself. Sad how the Discovery channels are dumbing down their shows to appeal to the most ignorant of us, Fox viewers.

I agree with Doc! The “sexiest man in the world” is not the one with the chiseled abs and dimples, but the one who helps with the dishes and makes you laugh.

To paraphrase cartoonist Kathy Garrison, modern antenna and basic cable TV is the post-apocalyptic wasteland left by people who can afford home computers.

If the TV show bothers you, why watch?

I agree with most of what you say, don’t watch Fox much, but wouldn’t classify all who do as ignorant. I would like to start a campaign though, how does “Say BOO to Boo-Boo” sound?

Television is a medium to seel products, nothing else. Shows are produced that sponsors will buy. The people chose, with their purchasing power, the shows that are broadcast. The Learning Channel and The discovery Channel originally carried educational programming. No one watched it. Sort of like PBS.
