A “fair comment” on Kate Hudson’s professional acting skills. Basset and Harrel don’t think much of them, and they’re entitled to their opinion. This time they’re commenting only on her public job performance.

On the strip itself: She wanted to get away from the kids for a while so she went to a “kids” movie?

@Alexikakos
Unfortunately, I’ve gone to more than one movie that was NOT a ‘kids’ movie with my husband, and been disgusted by the number of parents with small children in the theatre.
One woman even said to her companion as they were leaving (with one squalling baby and two kids under age 5) that she didn’t know what she would do once the kids started to choose the movies themselves.
In that case, the movie was The Prestige – definitely too dark a movie for young kids.

I have to agree – I’ve been to movies I would NEVER have taken my kids to see, and the theatre has been packed with youngters – emphasis on the young.

Isn’t that the family from The Pajama Diaries?

If there was an NC-17 movie around, Laura would have no problem with kids being around.

Regardless of the movie choice, I want an Adam of my own. Although in fairness, I don’t really need one now. My kids send me out and put themselves to bed these days.

Don’t think so; the Pajama Diaries family doesn’t have an infant.

I withdraw the “kids’ movie” part of my comment and admit that other incidental characters could have brought their children to what most people would consider to be an “adult” or “teenage” film.

I guess Laura’s not the only mother dealing with three children.

I used to work in a movie theater and it always boggled my mind whenever I saw parents take little kids to an R-rated movie, especially on Sundays.

I went to see Ted, a movie that definitely earned it’s “R” rating, and there were plenty of young children.

On another note, how many of his mistakes do you think Adam made up for?

Parents will never learn. DON’T bring your ill-behaved spawn to disturb other people’s movie-going experience if you can’t control them and are not willing to remove them if they act up.
