    we can laugh about the Leafs and the Islanders (beats crying, and they’ve both been laughable for a long time) but they’re both more recent cup winners than the Blackhawks!
    (and I think the Islanders might just win the cup before Toronto does. they seem to be getting some good young players while Burke trades draft picks away.)

    I still have a soft spot for the Isles. I can still remember when they were big winners in the ‘80’s–before Wayne Gretsky came along!
