This boss is new, right? So it’s not surprising that’s he’s tough at first; after all, he has to prove he IS boss.
Hopefully, after he is accustomed to the office routine, he’ll cut some slack.
If not, Laura and her fellow workers should consult HR.

I would rather a new boss come on strong and then settle down.
I’ve had managers who started out as Mr. Nice-Guy, then degenerated into jerks.

It does sound like since he’s new he just wants to throw his weight around and will hopefully soon settle down.

What was the weight class of Laura’s former college wrestler boss?

The lettering is becoming unreadable again.
It’s actually been illegible for a while, I just haven’t been reading because of it.

as the saying goes, a new broom sweeps clean
new management always tries to make changes, but most times they will go back to the old way of doing business because it was more of an efficient method of work
