I think Dad has tactile defensiveness.

I used to get most of my clothes from my older cousins who lived right across the street. I loved it, because I looked up to those guys so much and the clothes weren’t hard and stiff.
Kids in my generation were happy just to have clothes. Now the fashion thing is out of control with my grandkids.

I had 2 older brothers who were 4 and 5 years older than I was.
I grew up just a little past the prime of the Hippy era.
You couldn’t have told it from my hand-me-downs.
I remember wearing some pretty wild clothes.
I liked them, even though they were a little out of style.

I had an older sister. My hand-me-downs got me into more fights….

Unfortunately, I was the oldest, so I got new. I was also a head taller than my little brother, so he never got my clothes. I do remember in 5th grade, wearing my step-dad’s shoes to school accidentally, though.
BIG kid.

Yep, been there, done that.

The deal with boys clothing these days is that the pre-teen ones look like they are wearing teen boy clothes, even when brand new.
And the teen boys clothing, pants especially, look like they were bought in the men’s department instead of the boys department. Actually, what the clothing manufacturers do is put boy size labels on adult men’s clothing.
Many years ago when I lived in N. Hollywood, I went to a major department store outlet in San Fernando and I bought husky boy pants that were for teenagers about 5’ tall. Since I was broad in the hips and my legs are short, the Levi’s I bought fit just fine.

I missed something, when did Adam andLaura have another Baby?
Furienna said, 3 months ago
That baby has been around for as long as I can remember. His name is Nick, I believe.

I got hand-me-downs from a cousin (I was the oldest in my immediate family). I wasn’t thrilled because we had somewhat different taste in clothes. But what can you do?

Nick used to be cute, even Adam looked better than he does now. This used to be one of my favorites but I’m kind of sad about the downhill slide of the artwork… guess it’s time to move on. Sorry to complain but am a bit disappointed in the strip nowdays.
