It might have been more fun to stay home and watch the grass grow.

From the looks of that back yard, Adam has a little more outdoor ruggedness ahead of him.

My grass grows so fast that I have to mow it every 4 or 5 days. It would look like Adam’s if I went on vacation.

Why is the front yard grass shorter than the back yard? Apparently it only rained in back:)

Well, it could have rained a whole lot more in the back yard.
When my dad had a dairy farm in Northern Cherokee County in Oklahoma, a good soaking rain fell on the pasture which was on the north side of the house. But, no rain even fell on Mr. Cleveland’s farm across the fence.

I know of a guy who mows his yard every day it’s not raining… No lie… He’s obviously undiagnosed OCD…

Rain water seems to be better at growing grass than any other kind of water

It’s a Miricale they didn’t see a Ticket from the City Tacked to their door for the Jungle they grew.

Ji2m, I had a neighbor like that. They were retired people and didn’t like my dog (theirs barked as much as mine, when it was outside) and I worked nights. Every morning at 8 or 9 a.m. they would mow their back yard (nearest to where my bedroom was). That went on for about a month, until I came home one morning and mowed MY front lawn (nearest to THEIR bedroom and most other neighbors’) at around 2:00 in the morning.

rainman5353, I understand what you’re saying. However, the guy I’m talking about gets upset if anything is not in its proper place. He’s not doing it to be a jerk…

Our neighbor used to mow his yard all the time, but considering what a grouch his wife was, we figured he did it to stay out of the house. She died this winter, and although he still mows it, I don’t think it is near as often.

It was my first summer working 2nd while living in that house. I was never absolutely certain they did it to interrupt my sleep, or if it was just what they were used to and they weren’t thinking it through, but I believe in my heart that it was to awaken me because that was the kind of people they were.

My front yard gets mowed more frequently than the back - so when mowing today, the front was a breeze and the back was a jungle! I can empathize with Adam here…

Seems like I’m always mowing my lawn. Do you think maybe I need to get a bigger scissors?
