I’m in a union and contract negotiations are not going well.
I wish I could go into the meetings and crack EVERYONES’ heads together.
The corporation is greedy and the union is only interested in keeping their power.
The worker, as always, is screwed.

They should quit and become consultants and work from - no, wait…

doctortoon, do you mean to say EVERYONE has an agenda? And that the one party authorized to represent the workers is putting itself first? Why have a union if it’s not on your side, if it’s failing to do its job?

Be careful Adam, they already got the shirt off your back from panel 3 to 4.

Trucker Ron, many places of business are unionized because you have to join to work there. They can negotiate a raise in pay BUT one of the first things to go up is the union dues. The unions started as a good thing for the workers but they have gotten too powerful. They are only for the union now.

Those two would be doing their chores for nothing and with a sore rear end if they were mine.

Doc Toon, I’ve never been part of a union that wasnt out to make money for itself. Unions are a big part of whats wrong with health care reform and the trouble the automakers are in.

Joining the union was not optional when I was hired for my job.
I appreciate the wages and benefits I have, and realize I have the union to thank for that.
What I don’t appreciate is that no matter how hard I work, some incompetent with seniority has more rights than I do and the same pay.
I need the income, can’t afford to strike.
The union yahoos seem dead set on strike.
Hope it doesn’t come to that.
