Well, I hope that Harrell gets the artwork on Adam right soon.

I think Harrell is doing fine.
Different artist= slightly different art style.
Better comic than it has been?
Yup.

The intent was good, the execution was a little off.

Hi folks, some of you may know my work from the Comics Sherpa comic: Devin Crane Comic Strip Ghostwriter.
I am a little sad I wasn’t contacted about this before they did it, but I understand.
The thing about Adam before the art change was that it was about gentle moments. Moments that weren’t necessarily funny or clever, but about things that we might occasionally be able to relate to.
I’ll miss the brush style of Basset’s work certainly. But there’s Red & Rover to tide me over.
This feels like a different strip to me so far, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Good luck to all.

Adam does look a little off but so far I think it’s been an improvement. Just think of all those strips on sleep working :/ I think the change will work out fine. It reminds me how much I miss Big Top!

Hey, if it gets Adam off the weekly themes treadmill I’m all for it.

So what’s going on? Why did Brian stop? Whose Devin_Crane? Is he doing the strip now? Somebody please explain, I’ve read Adam for a few years now, somebody… any answers out there?
DevinCrane_ComicsWriter said, 11 months ago
I have nothing to do with this strip. I do my own and I ghostwrite a bunch more. Sorry NDAs prevent me from disclosing which ones.
I read that Bassett has given up the art duties to Rob Harrell who used to do strip called Big Top.

The new artwork has shaved years off of Adam as well as pounds off his frame.

Maybe I should ask Harrell to go to work on my body! LOL!
Flauta said, 11 months ago
He came so close! If only he had corrected himself by saying that she was already perfectly fit, and that he only wanted her to be happy as well.

Whoever is doing the drwaing, good job. Adam looks better today, and the theme weeks were killing me, so I likes!

Devin_Crane, thanks for the info. I just recently discovered Big Top, but I gather it’s no longer in print and these are “reruns”. Pity, I enjoy it. now I’ll have to go look up your publicized strips. I have no idea what NDA’s are but I guess it has to do with copyrighting or something?

Mr. Harrell and Brian, I hope you both see this!
I think Mr. Harrell will do a fine job! give him time! We know he’s good at what he does.! And as for Brian, if he had to give up a strip, better this one than Red & Rover!
DON’T EVER GIVE UP “RED & ROVER”, BRIAN!

The only times I ended up on the couch were my own choice because my wife snored.
oCinneide said, 11 months ago
Adam probably should have said “A happy and healthy wife.”
That still might have landed him in trouble, but at least it sounds better.
