I’ll be honest, I don’t speak German, so I can’t say for sure. I do know that dumm is German for dumb and of course volk is folk in English, so it’s at least a rough amalgamation. This coming from a guy (me) with the with a first name that translates into the Spanish word for heel and whose last name is the equivalent of butt, I’m content if anyone reads symbolism into the names.
