    It’s a sight gag that takes a little work to see. Computer monitors, cell phone displays and tablet all illuminate from the inside out and are optimized for straight-forward viewing. That means there are certain gradients of colors that either degrade or become more visible when the screen in viewed at an angle. By looking at the blank area in the comic from about a 45 degree angle, you’ll see the words “April Fools! Ya Pervert!” which cannot be seen from just looking at it head-on. It’s interesting, I discovered that I’m one of the few in my social circles who knows about this optical trick…most of the kids I know totally got it, while many of the adults I know were just confused. So, rest assured, you were not alone. But the nerds got it…and I’m cool with that.
