um…. charlie? what does that have to do with the strip? I really don’t see any reference to change or anything that could be linked to Obama… or even government really.

There are those so wound up in a particular worldview that they see an agenda in everything.
It does not surprise me a bit that Obama can be read into a decades old comic strip.
Several months ago some idiot read politics into Winnie the Pooh.

ah change. Well, now Obama is here, we can stop praying
Who were you praying to? Satan himself. If you are praying to Jesus Christ you have got your wires crossed.
Obama is against everything Christ is for.
If you read your bible or have a bible go to the part that states the following people shall be removed from the land or hell is for the following people.
That is the group of people Obama and the Democrats are fighting for and trying to protect them under the hate crimes act.

Do you guys have as much trouble reading the font on this strip as I do?
I could use one of those vitamins.
Charlie, is that your response to any other strips?

Charlie = troll
Responding to a troll is like feeding a stray dog. Once you do they will never leave you alone. The difference is a dog is usually a lot more pleasant to have around.
I think these strips are scanned at a pretty low resolution … probably so no one can print out a high-resolution copy and try to pass it off as collectible art. I don’t think they need to be as bad as they are. That’s assuming the originals still even exist to be scanned. would a college newspaper save these for nearly 40 years?

The Academia Waltz was actually published in two volumes while Breathed was still in college. The first one was titled “The Academia Waltz”, and the second volume was “The Academia Waltz Bowing Out” Source: “Calvin & Hobbes Garfield Bloom County Doonesbury And All That Funny Stuff” by James Van Hise.
