Well you can do something slightly different with the apples.

    APPLE MARMALADE

Wash, quarter and cut into small pieces, coarse-grained Canadian-grown apples.
Add cold water and cook slowly until very soft.
Rub through a strainer, and for each cup of apple pulp add 3/4 cup sugar.
Add grated lemon rind and lemon juice, allowing 1/2 lemon to each 6 cups of apple pulp.
Cook slowly, stirring very frequently until thick.
Put in jars or glasses and cover with paraffin wax.
When cold, the marmalade should cut like cheese or jelly.
Preserved ginger, cut fine, may be added, using 1 tablespoon for each 6 cups of pulp.

An apple is dapple… but nothing rhymes with orange.

He can’t compare because they are apples and oranges, and he is a fruit! The sign says so!

Sounds like you have a bad case of plantainitis. Take two kiwis and call me in the morning.

They keep saying you can’t compare apples and oranges. I can. An apple is red and distinctly non-spherical; an orange is orange and nearly spherical. So, what’s the big problem?

    @Bruno Zeigerts…….

As I sat and ate my orange

    Looking out upon the range

I had perchance the offer to dine

    And enjoy an expensive wine

To accompany the taste of my orange

Perhaps a glass of fine Hermatige, Grange

Sorry, guys, this gets my vote for lame comic of the day. I know it’s hard coming up with new ideas day after day after day, and today it shows. Sorry.
