Rancorous bosses, quirky workers, and an up-and-down stock market populate the world of 9 to 5. A cast of regular characters include J.B. Wells (the boss), Sims (office flunkey) and Ms. Forbes. While mainly a satire on business, the comic also pokes fun at technology, relationships, dogs and cats, and life in general. The cartoon is by Harley Schwadron, whose business cartoons have appeared in Playboy, Barrons and many other top publications for many years.

I had a taxi driver who did that…it was around 3 in the morning and he thought he’d get away with it. I noticed that he was heading a wrong way and I told him again where I was going and he tried to claim he thought it was this other place.
And then as we were heading nearer to my house, he was signalling a turn than went a long way around to my house. So I told him that it was the wrong turn and directed him to my house. When we got to my house I only paid him the exact meter charge.
