No one in town -- neither the real estate developer nor the relatives -- was happy when Farmer Ray left everything to his beloved farm animals. So they fled in fear, leaving a spunky young girl named Pearl to battle for their rights. Now the farm is theirs, but neither Pearl, nor the Wise Crow, nor the Weird Rabbits, can find them. Join the intrepid trio as they adventure their way across the land, seeking wide and far for their long lost home sweet home.

This comic is pure gold.
Thanks Steve, I was wondering where you could possibly go with this.

It is 8:45 AM CDT here and some of you folks either post comments before you go to bed or you don’t live in North America.
Farmer Ray must have owned some gold before he had a heart attack and died while he was using a garden rake. When he felt the chest pains, he stepped on the tines of the rake and the handle hit him in head and apparently knocked him out cold.
If they have enough gold to pay that million dollars, they could have had a real lawyer to defend them rather than a pre-puberty age girl.
Does NASCAR want a track in that town or is it that the NASCAR fans want one built there?
I haven’t seen a NASCAR representative nor a person claiming to be a NASCAR driver in this strip.

Wonder if Chicken is thinking 24 carrots is pure gold.
Will be interesting to see what he has in mind.

buckleylover - That’s just JAD, he’s a little confused, so his comments are too.

@Joey Allen Doty - No NASCAR drivers? Pay attention! Dale Earnhardt saved our fearless trio a few plots twists ago.
