No one in town -- neither the real estate developer nor the relatives -- was happy when Farmer Ray left everything to his beloved farm animals. So they fled in fear, leaving a spunky young girl named Pearl to battle for their rights. Now the farm is theirs, but neither Pearl, nor the Wise Crow, nor the Weird Rabbits, can find them. Join the intrepid trio as they adventure their way across the land, seeking wide and far for their long lost home sweet home.

Sentencing has always been easy for me.
It’s paragraphing I run into trouble with.
@Rakkav:
Built a sukkah out of a hockey net, a sheet and a bunch of tree branches. I couldn’t believe there was a hockey net just sitting out on dry land in the middle of the forest waiting for me.
This was one net I wasn’t trying to keep anyone out of.

They are probably in Illinois and currently headed for Chicago.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the plot of this comic strip has them ending up in New York City.
Since the animals’ farm seemed to be in the Los Angeles area, it appears that they followed “The Mother Road,” aka the Old US Route 66 which got put out of existence when the Interstate System replaced it.
The “Great Bunion Derby” (officially ” C.C. Pyle’s First Annual International Transcontinental Foot Race”) of the 1928 followed Route 66 from Los Angeles, California to Chicago and from there, the race continued on to New York City with the finish line in Madison Square Garden.
I met Andy Payne, the winner of that race, at his father’s farm home outside of Foyil, Oklahoma when I was a junior in high school. Andy’s father, Andrew “Doc” Payne was a teenage friend of Will Rogers.
US Route 66 went Foyil and the road now is OK 66.
By the way, I was born on November 4 and that was also Will Rogers’ birthday. In Rogers County, when I was growing up, Nov. 4 was a county holiday as far as the schools were concerned. Unless the 4th was on a Sunday, a parade was held on Will Rogers Blvd, Claremore’s main street, on his Birthday. If the 4th was on a Sunday, the parade was on Saturday.
